หลังจากที่ออกรุ่นเบต้าอยู่ได้ร่วมปี (ข่าวเก่า) วันนี้ Panda Cloud Antivirus ก็ได้หลุดจากสถานะเบต้ามาเป็นรุ่นจริงแล้วครับ

ทวนกันอีกที โปรแกรม Antivirus แจกฟรีตัวนี้นั้นจำเป็นจะต้องอาศัยการติดต่อกับเซิร์ฟเวอร์กลุ่มเมฆของ Panda ในการสแกนไวรัส แต่เมื่ออยู่ในสถานะที่ไม่ได้ต่อกับอินเทอร์เน็ต ก็ยังปกป้องไวรัสที่ค้นพบใหม่ๆ ได้จากการเทียบกับฐานข้อมูลเล็กๆ ที่ดาวน์โหลดเอาไว้ครับ และเนื่องจากตัวสแกนจริงๆ อยู่ฝั่งเซิร์ฟเวอร์ ดังนั้นตัวโปรแกรมฝั่งผู้ใช้จะกินทรัพยากรระบบน้อยกว่าโปรแกรมอื่นๆ ซึ่งจากการทดสอบของ CNET นั้นพบว่าใช้แรมเพียง 56 MB ขณะสแกน และ 9 MB ขณะที่เปิดไว้เฉยๆ (โปรแกรมอื่นๆ ขณะสแกนนั้นกินราวๆ 150 MB)

อย่างไรก็ตามโปรแกรมนี้ขาดคุณลักษณะสำคัญๆ หลายอย่าง เช่นไม่สามารถตั้งเวลาสแกนอัตโนมัติได้ ไม่สามารถปรับแต่งความละเอียดในการสแกนได้ เป็นต้น ใครสนใจลองดาวน์โหลดมาใช้ดูครับ

ในที่สุด Panda Cloud Antivirus ก็ออกเวอร์ชั่น 1.0 แล้ว หลังจากที่เป็นรุ่น beta อยู่นานพอสมควร ซึ่งโปรแกรมนี้ผู้เขียนเองก็ติดตามมาโดยตลอดครับ และได้ใช้งานมาตั้งแต่เป็นรุ่น beta สำหรับสิ่งแรกที่เห็นถึงความเปลี่ยนแปลงในแง่ของผู้ใช้ก็จะมีอยู่สองประการ ด้วยกันคือ ประการแรกคือต้องทำการลงทะเบียนผู้ใช้ก่อน ประการที่สองคือถ้าเครื่องของคุณมีการติดตั้งโปรแกรมป้องกันไวรัสตัวอื่นๆ อยู่แล้ว Panda Cloud จะนำให้คุณทำการถอดถอนโปรแกรมเหล่านั้นออกไปก่อน จึงจะทำการติดตั้ง Panda Cloud ต่อไปได้

แต่ว่าตอนที่เป็นรุน beta สามารถติดตั้งร่วมกับโปรแกรมอื่นๆ ได้ครับ ตอนนี้พอเป็นเวอร์ชั่นจริงตัวจริงแล้วก็เลยเห็นว่าตัวเองพร้อมที่จะรับ หน้าที่ในการปกป้องคอมพิวเตอร์ของผู้ใช้งานอย่างเต็มรูปแบบ สำหรับความสามารถในการป้องกันโปรแกรมร้ายหลักๆ ก็ได้แก่ ไวรัส หนอน โทรจัน สปายแวร์ แอดแวร์ เป็นต้น ส่วนประสิทธิภาพในการตรวจจับจะเป็นอย่างไรก็ต้องลองใช้กันสักพักหนึ่งก่อน ครับ



การลงทะเบียนเพื่อการใช้งาน Panda Cloud นั้นต้องรอนานสักนิดนะครับประมาณสัก 6 ชั่วโมง ถึงจะมีอีเมลตอบกลับมาหาเรา ไม่่ต้องลงทะเบียนซ้าไปนะครับ แต่ไม่รู้ว่าตอนนี้จะดีขึ้นแล้วหรือยัง เมื่อวานไม่รู้ลงทะเบียนซ้ำไปสามรอบ ด้วยสามอีเมลเลย

อย่างไรก็ตามสำหรับคนที่ต้องการความปลอดภัยสูงๆ ก็แนะนำว่าให้หาโปรแกรมประเภทไฟร์วอลล์มาตดตั้งเพิ่มเติมด้วยนะครับ เพราะ Panda Cloud ไม่ได้เตรียมส่วนนี้ไว้ให้
